The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting tasks, overseeing the billing of customers and paying invoices, ensuring accurate financial reporting, producing and managing budgets, and supporting project cost and profitability tracking.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced accountant to support our accessibility remodeling company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting tasks, overseeing the billing of customers and paying invoices, ensuring accurate financial reporting, producing and managing budgets, and supporting project cost and profitability tracking.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow and make recommendations to management to ensure proper availability of cash for the business needs.
- Track job costs and project budgets, ensuring alignment with estimates.
- Calculate and report key performance indicators monthly or as needed.
- Monitor payroll processing and tax and benefit submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor accounts payable to ensure that bills are paid accurately and timely and recorded properly in the general ledger.
- Monitor the production of invoices to ensure that revenue is reflected properly and timely in the general ledger.
- Lead the preparation of the budget and perform budget vs. actual analysis monthly.
- Maintain organizational accounting records and documentation for audits and other reviews.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Three plus years of experience in accounting. Construction experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software is required, with experience in QuickBooks preferred.
- Understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Monday Thursday (6:30 am - 5 pm) ; Friday (7 am to 12 pm)

- Must be able to pass state and federal background checks as well as child abuse clearances

You will receive on-the-job training in plumbing, electrical, framing, dryall and more! We work in two-man teams to train our field crew to advance their skills with the hopes of leading their own crew and growing towards their desired career.
