Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team on a short-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills with a focus on month-end close, general ledger account reconciliations, and journal entries. This is a fully onsite role in Fullerton, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support preparation of financial reports and schedules for management review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and provide support to the accounting team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Available to start immediately and commit to a 2–3 month contract.
