Senior Staff Accountant Job at Career Movement in Franklin

Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role offers the chance to gain exposure to all aspects of corporate accounting — from monthly close to financial reporting — while contributing to process improvements and supporting business decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Manage and record business transactions in compliance with GAAP.

• Partner with the team to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close.

• Support the annual audit process, including drafting financial statements and footnotes.

• Prepare and analyze budget vs. actuals and expense variances, providing insights to management.

• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and customer billing to support company growth.

• Contribute to process improvements and help strengthen internal controls.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience (public accounting or corporate).

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (CPA preferred).

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Organized, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
