About The Role
The company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join their Stafford, TX office. This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR backup, inventory and cost support, and audit preparation. The position offers visibility across the business, with opportunities to work closely with operations, sales, and management.
What You’ll Do
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid accounts, and account reconciliations
- Perform month-end close responsibilities and support sales and gross margin reporting
- Assist with treasury and cash management, including bank reconciliations
- Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Review blocked customer orders and work with Sales and Accounting to resolve issues
- Support Controller with month-end close activities and ad hoc projects
- Perform cost rolls and assist with labor and overhead rate updates
- Review and reconcile inventory accounts, approve cycle counts, and analyze manufacturing variances
- Upload exemption certificates into the sales tax system and support related filings
- Assist with external audit preparations and reporting
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with SAP strongly preferred
- Background in cost accounting a plus
- Strong understanding of general ledger processes and reconciliations
- Ability to work across multiple accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, treasury, inventory, audit prep)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
