Salary: Up to $80,000 (based on experience)

Location: Stafford, TX (Onsite with 1-day WFH per week after training)

About The Role

The company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join their Stafford, TX office. This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR backup, inventory and cost support, and audit preparation. The position offers visibility across the business, with opportunities to work closely with operations, sales, and management.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid accounts, and account reconciliations
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities and support sales and gross margin reporting
  • Assist with treasury and cash management, including bank reconciliations
  • Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Review blocked customer orders and work with Sales and Accounting to resolve issues
  • Support Controller with month-end close activities and ad hoc projects
  • Perform cost rolls and assist with labor and overhead rate updates
  • Review and reconcile inventory accounts, approve cycle counts, and analyze manufacturing variances
  • Upload exemption certificates into the sales tax system and support related filings
  • Assist with external audit preparations and reporting
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred
  • Background in cost accounting a plus
  • Strong understanding of general ledger processes and reconciliations
  • Ability to work across multiple accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, treasury, inventory, audit prep)
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
