Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Bethesda. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and support their development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate or related industries.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000
