If you are an accounting professional looking to grow your career, SPIA Cycling has an exciting opportunity for you! In this role, you will support the Finance and Accounting team in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This position ensures accuracy in financial reporting and compliance while also tracking expenses and revenues tied to product sales.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Receivable to minimize past-due accounts; prepare weekly receivables report for the President.
- Prepare check/ACH runs twice a month.
- Monitor Accounts Payable throughout the month.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
- Analyze accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with month-end close processes.
- Communicate regularly with the Senior Accountant regarding work status and potential issues.
- Handle ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of applicable accounting experience.
- Strong skills in attention to detail, organization, time management, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ABET-accredited program preferred).
- Experience with SAP, cost accounting, and/or tax law.
