Job Description
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cost accounting and inventory management reports.
- Monitor and reconcile manufacturing costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to provide financial insights that enhance operational efficiency.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for manufacturing operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations within the manufacturing environment.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Manufacturing Accountant should have:
- A strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (oracle ideal) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders.
- Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience.
