Caravelle Boat Group is seeking an accountant. The ideal candidate is someone with prior accounting experience, the ability to multitask, and working knowledge of computers.

Job Description:

1. Access computerized financial information to answer questions related to general accounts.
2. Calculate and prepare checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments.
3. Calculate costs of materials, overhead, and expenses based on estimates and quotations.
4. Prepare and issue bills, invoices, and financial statements according to procedures.
5. Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper coding.
6. Record and summarize financial data to maintain records using journals, ledgers, or computers.
7. Code documents per company procedures.
8. Compare computer printouts with manual journals for accuracy.
9. Compile budget data based on estimates, previous budgets, and revenues.
10. Prepare financial reports related to cash flow, expenses, and profits.
11. Complete and submit tax forms, workers' compensation, pension, and other government documents.
12. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
13. Calculate deductions for taxes.
14. Use accounting software to debit, credit, and total accounts.
15. Maintain inventory records.
16. Match order forms with invoices and record details.
17. Monitor loan and account statuses for timely payments.
18. Operate calculators, typewriters, and copiers as needed.
19. Record, store, and analyze financial information using computers.
20. Perform financial calculations such as dues, interest, and balances.
21. Handle general office duties like filing and answering phones.
22. Perform personal bookkeeping and payroll processing.
23. Prepare bank deposits and reconcile records.
24. Transfer data from journals to general ledgers.

Job Requirements:

• Some college education preferred; no degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hold a valid regular driving license.
