Responsibilities

The Accountant is a key member of the GL Accounting team. The ability to deconstruct system and GL activity, perform problem-solving, and build reconciliations and corrections with minimal oversight are critical for this role.

  • Help prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including:
    • Build/prepare/improve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
    • Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
    • Partner with other departments to solve problems and answer questions.
    • Map multiple journal entries and schedules to find gaps/overlaps.
    • Interpret configuration, policies, and transaction history.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong communication skills with the ability to deal with personnel throughout the organization.
  • Team player, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Meets quality and quantity standards, and standard deadlines.
  • Systems savvy with an understanding of accounting systems and how to extract, organize and analyze data.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Accounting experience (or equivalent) required.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, use reasoning and logic to evaluate possible causes and solutions, and devise and implement a plan of action.

Additional Information

  • Anticipated salary range is $70,000 - $85,000/year depending on experience.
