Accounting Manager - Manufacturing

Overview: The Accounting Manager will oversee the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring financial health and compliance, providing strategic financial guidance to senior management, and supporting operational efficiency and growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, CMA, or Master's degree strongly preferred
• 7+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager, accountant, or similar role, preferably in manufacturing
• Experience preparing financial statements, conducting analysis, and managing budgets
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting department operations, including department structure and objectives
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain internal control policies to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting
• Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
• Manage compliance with local, state, and federal tax and reporting requirements
• Analyze financial results related to profits, trends, costs, and budget adherence
• Lead cash management strategy to ensure optimal cash flow
• Coordinate external audits and recommend procedural improvements
• Provide financial insights for long-term business planning and investment decisions
• Collaborate with senior executives to identify business needs and deliver solutions
