About Next Level SportsAt Next Level Sports, we are passionate about bringing the best youth sports experience for all, both on and off the field. We apply operational diligence and technology in thoughtful and innovative ways to unlock our young athletes' curiosity, passion, and desire for sports education, competition, and skill development.Our headquarters are based in San Mateo, California, with operations in 16 states, including California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Montana, Colorado, Utah, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Tennessee, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Our programs are currently available to youth participants from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our partners include high-level high schools as well as NCAA athletic programs in various sporting disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all company accounting activities, including for subsidiaries and related entitiesOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and distribute financial statements and internal management reportsLead the budgeting process and support forecasting activitiesReview journal entries, reconciliations, and financial metricsExecute and monitor AR/AP functionsInterface with external accountants for tax compliance and auditsEnsure compliance with financial regulations and lawsImplement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting systemsDevelop and enforce policies and procedures aligned with best practicesIdentify and address internal control issues or process inefficienciesSummarize and forecast financial performance across income, expenses, and earningsManage departmental budget and ensure ongoing fiscal disciplineCollaborate cross-functionally to align financial operations with broader company goalsRecommend and implement process improvements and cost-saving measuresQualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field25+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysisProven experience managing budgets and/or financial teamsSolid understanding of GAAP, tax requirements, and accounting principlesProficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems preferred)Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesExperience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentHighly self-motivated and able to manage tasks independentlyWhat We Offer:A collaborative team environment focused on excellence and innovation.Opportunities for growth and development in the sports operations and logistics space.Our culture reflects our commitment to our communities.
