Development Accountant – Real Estate

What You’ll Do As The Development Accountant

  • Own the accounting lifecycle for 4 active real estate development projects — from groundbreaking to final closeout
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to keep financials aligned and accurate
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile key statements including balance sheets, working capital schedules, and more
  • Dig into the general ledger, trial balance, and income statements to ensure everything adds up
  • Deliver timely, detailed financial reporting to keep leadership and project teams informed

What You Bring As The Development Accountant

  • 2–3 years of accounting experience (real estate development experience is a strong advantage)
  • Advanced Excel skills — Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas are second nature to you
  • Experience with Yardi or MRI is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and project management skills — you're proactive, organized, and ready to take the lead
