We're hiring a data-driven accountant for an integral position on our team. You’ll keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use QuickBooks for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient. Responsibilities: • Process payroll to provide payment to employees on time • Complete bookkeeping duties: Data entry and record maintenance • Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger • Consistently input daily financial transactions and finalize the posting process • Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies • Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts • Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls in compliance with SOX regulations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for reporting purposes • Conduct financial analysis for work centers, identify cost trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits Qualifications: • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field • Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills • Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems • Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, cost accountant or similar • Must know Cost Accounting • At least 3-5 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, or bookkeeper • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Compensation: $70,000 per year
