Position Summary Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing logistics company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general accounting principles, financial reporting, and process improvements. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision-making in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with GAAP
• Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost optimization
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including AP/AR, inventory, and fixed assets
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Prepare audit schedules and support external audits and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support logistics operations with accurate financial data
• Maintain compliance with tax regulations, including sales/use tax and corporate filings
• Support system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a deadline-driven environment
  
  

• Experience with ERP implementations or process automation tools
• Prior experience in cost accounting, freight billing, or inventory management in a logistics or warehousing setting
