Senior Accountant

About the Firm

Our client is a fast-growing, global family office and investment advisory firm advising a select group of individuals, family offices, and institutions on over $7 billion in assets. With approximately 40 professionals, our team delivers highly bespoke investment, financial, and planning solutions tailored to sophisticated and complex client situations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. This individual will play a key role in the firm’s daily financial operations, working across corporate accounting, fund accounting review, and family office accounting services. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong accounting expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment where client service and technical skill intersect.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable life cycles
• Develop and maintain account reconciliations and schedules
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance analysis
• Conduct research and analysis of income statement accounts
• Oversee fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Maintain intercompany and related party accounts
• Manage daily treasury operations and firm-wide expense reporting processes
• Review fund administrators’ work to ensure accurate financial reporting for real estate and private equity funds
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and internal reporting
• Support year-end audits for venture capital and real estate funds
• Perform accounts payable, bill pay, and treasury services for family office clients
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of firm policies and procedures
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and firm initiatives in collaboration with the Assistant Controller

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting required
• 2–4 years of accounting experience (public + industry mix preferred)
• Experience in professional services; financial services experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred
• Familiarity with payroll and expense software (ADP, Paychex, iSolved, Certify, Expensify, etc.)
• Exposure to partnership tax accounting a plus
• Strong communication skills — both written and verbal
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under deadlines
• Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving in fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
