Purpose/Summary

The Production Accountant will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, reporting, and analyzing costs related to production

• Assist with bill-of-material entry and recording daily consumption of materials
• Assist with the establishment, evaluation, & maintenance of standard costs
• Evaluate slow-moving and obsolete inventory and communicate with internal personnel
• Allocate monthly production & other costs through journal entries
• Analyze and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management
• Review/prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Investigate, analyze and report on manufacturing cost and variances including PPV, margins, absorption, product mix and material/routing variances
• Monitor inventory transactions, identify abnormalities, and investigate accordingly and give feedback where needed
• Assist with external audits and outside tax preparers
• Perform other related analysis as directed by management
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2+ years of related experience

Other Required Qualifications

• Exemplary communication skills; both verbal and written
• Dedication to excellent internal and external customer service
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years of related experience in cost or production accounting type role

Physical Requirements

Office: Move 25lbs (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of time

Work Environments

Office: Quiet with some ambient noise, climate controlled, fluorescent lighting
