We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role is ideal for a smart, hard-working individual looking to advance their career in accounting and finance. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance department by handling accounts payable processing and assisting with the month-end close process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments
• Assist in month-end close activities, including account reconciliations (cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.)
• Administer purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies
• Manage and track contracts, ensuring compliance and proper documentation
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support financial reporting and auditing processes
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and company procedures
• Support special accounting projects as needed
• Collaborate with senior accounting staff to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of Accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); experience with accounting software a plus
• A positive, “can-do” attitude with a strong willingness to learn
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
