Job Title: Staff Accountant

Reports To: Financial Accounting Manager

Position Summary

Meridian Group International, is a global organization with an annual revenue of $500 million to $1 billion based in Deerfield Il. We are currently seeking a staff accountant with 2-3 years of experience with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. This position is responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and Accounts Payable.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter various accounting related entries.
• Review, verify, and enter AP invoices.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or similar major with extensive accounting courses.
• 2-3 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail- oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and work within deadlines.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
