Gedeon GRC is looking for a Project Accountant to join our firm. This person will be responsible for accounts receivable, invoicing, and billing. Ensuring timely and accurate project billing, monitors payment status and follow up on collection.

Gedeon GRC is looking for a Project Accountant to join our firm. This person will be responsible for accounts receivable, invoicing, and billing. Ensuring timely and accurate project billing, monitors payment status and follow up on collection.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $80,000 annually. Pay commensurate with experience.

LOCATION:

Hybrid; local to the New York City and Long Island area.

Responsibilities

❖ Deposit client receipt daily & make ongoing Collection effort, follow up on outstanding AR with Clients by emails and/or phone calls.

❖ Responsible for Agency Billings (MTA, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, NYCDDC etc.), preparation of client invoices using Excel & Adobe, and Invoice submission on Coupa.

❖ Responsible for submitting staff rate requests to agencies for approval, such as NYCDDC Exhibit B form, NYCDOT SI2000 forms, PANYNJ Salary roster etc.

❖ Review contract agreements to properly set up the invoice template and project information in both Excel and our Billing System Ajera for accuracy.

❖ Liaison with project managers on monthly billing to review project and billing status.

❖ Provide billing instructions (invoice template, schedule, % to bill etc.) to Subcontractors and review Subcontractor invoices.

❖ Communicate with clients and subcontractors for any Billing and Payment issues.

❖ Responsible for AR Compliance reporting, update Sub payments on agencies sites such as Elation, EBO, PIP, PassPort, NYSCS.

❖ Assist in month-end closing and annual audits.

❖ Perform Other Job Duties As Assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

❖ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.

❖ 2-3 years' experience in a service organization and/or engineering preferred.

❖ Knowledge of Deltek Ajera or other Accounting/Billing system would be preferred.

❖ Detail-oriented and possess good analytic skill.

❖ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and system savvy.

❖ Must be able to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.

❖ Self- starter, able to perform the essential functions of the job independently.
