American Guardian Warranty Services, Inc. (AGWS), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will develop and optimize accounting processes, ensure compliance with internal controls, and provide financial data and analysis. Responsibilities include supporting daily operations, executing routine accounting tasks, and managing data entry and journal entries in the general ledger system.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end close processes, including data accuracy, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Manage banking activities such as reconciliation, deposits, payables, and cash reporting.
• Apply accounting principles to journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Support audits, prepare federal and state filings, and collaborate with teams.
• Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and related software.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and mathematical concepts.
• Experience in warranty or insurance industry is a plus.
