STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Overview
As a General Accountant, this position will function as part of the accounting team and provide functional, technical, and process leadership. Responsibilities include preparing and assisting with financial statements in conformance to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

This role has no direct reports.
3. Principal Accountabilities
- Oversee the process and data flow between accounting systems and subsystems.
- Support, develop, and manage operational controls, data documentation, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end reporting, including liabilities, accruals, schedules, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze relationships between sales volumes and expense categories; make observations and recommendations for action.
- Perform sales margin analysis, review reports, and analyze low-margin regions/branches for remediation.
- Support the development of solutions to problems in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting, individually or as part of a team.
- Assist with analysis and review of the company's financial performance by collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial/statistical data.
- Support the preparation of budgets and financial operating reports, presenting findings and recommendations to the CFO.
4. Major Challenges & Complexities
Ability to accurately quantify and establish costs and profitability by branch. Ensure accurate accounting of all activities and reconcile performance within each period.

External: Outside Auditor, Government agencies, Facility Staff
6. Qualifications/Requirements
6.1 Formal Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge and Experience: Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with algebraic equations and unit conversions.
Education and Certifications: 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare; experience with General Ledger and ERP systems; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Finance.
