Staff Accountant

This position at our headquarter branch location in Torrance, CA Enagic is a Japan-based leading manufacturer of alkaline ionizers and water filtration machines. Enagic distributes its products through a network of independent contractor sales represents through a multilevel (network) marketing business model.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Accounting and 2-5 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in SAP HANA. This role requires strong skills in accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and general ledger (GL) account reconciliation to manage daily accounting tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Management:
• Process and reconcile A/R and A/P transactions daily
• Manage debit notes for commissions and expenses
• Handle credit notes for commissions and expenses
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
• Bank Reconciliation and Reporting:
• Perform daily bank account reconciliations
• Prepare and submit daily bank reports to Headquarters
• Process refund requests and commission offsets
• Physically deposit checks and cash at the bank as needed
• SAP HANA and System Management:
• Create direct ARS Orders in SAP HANA
• Upload proxy orders to SAP and Avatax systems
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data within SAP HANA
• General Ledger and Financial Reconciliation:
• Perform GL account reconciliations regularly
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Audit Support and Backup Management:
• Assist with internal and external audits as required
• Provide backup support to the Accounting Manager for urgent issues
• Help prepare financial statements and reports as needed
• Special Projects and Process Improvement:
• Participate in accounting process improvement initiatives
• Assist in implementing new accounting procedures or systems
• Contribute to special financial projects as assigned
  

Qualification

• BS in Accounting
• 2-5 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in SAP HANA
• Strong knowledge of A/R, A/P, and GL reconciliation
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Avatax is a plus

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both routine accounting duties and more complex financial responsibilities.
