Our client is a long-standing nonprofit organization looking to add a Staff Accountant. This company is looking for an experienced professional who can work on a team just as effectively as they and work independently.Salary/Hourly Rate:
$31/hr - $33/hrPosition Overview:
Staff Accountant applicants must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is looking for 3 - 5 years of experience with month-end close, bank recs, account recs, etc. The Ideal candidate should be hardworking and comfortable with meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A background in the non-profit industry and experience working with grants are a plus.Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Prepare financial analyses and reports.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Overseeing and coordinating with staff on Accounts Payable and Receivables.
- Responsible for updating/reviewing the forecast for possibly a weekly, monthly, and year-end basis.
- Working on budget and financials to prepare for the board and executives.
Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:
- Grant management experience, including non-profit accounting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills.
- ERP systems experience.
- Leadership, communication, and financial analysis on an accounting team are all big pluses.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:
- Advanced Excel.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or a related field is required.
