Job Description

Parts Distribution Xpress and Sir Lancellot Couriers are seeking a Staff Accountant for their Essington, PA headquarters.

Job Type: Full-time; In-office

Schedule: 8hr shift

Compensation: $75k - $80k annual salary

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounts and business transactions for multiple companies within the organization by applying GAAP. The hired applicant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the organization's financial data and assisting the CFO and Controller with routine accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank and credit card statements, accruals, intercompany accounts, and prepaid expenses.
• Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules as needed.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing for multiple entities with journal entries, expense review, and variance research.
• Collaborate with internal departments for timely and accurate financial information.
• Support Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable with proper recording and GL coding.
• Assist in developing and enhancing policies and procedures to improve the accounting function.
• Support the CFO and Controller with special projects and workflow improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• 2+ years of experience with basic accounting processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in Excel including Lookups, Advanced Formulas, Formatting, Filtering, and Pivot Tables.
• On-site position.
