Staff Accountant – Hands-On Role with Room to Advance

A St. Louis-based company is adding a Staff Accountant to their expanding finance team. This role offers the chance to be involved in a wide range of accounting responsibilities while working alongside leadership and contributing to projects that drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Process invoices, vendor payments, and employee expense reimbursements
• Reconcile credit card transactions and match incoming deposits
• Track accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment processing
• Enter purchase orders and verify terms, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records through account reconciliations
• Record intercompany transactions and reconcile balances on a monthly basis
• Collaborate with internal teams on billing, contracts, and process documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of accounting experience in AP/AR and general ledger functions
• Solid understanding of accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment
• Clear and professional communication skills, both internally and externally
