About the Role and Our Client:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a well-established, family-owned manufacturing organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will manage the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance while playing an integral role in supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the general accounting functions, including preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage and track budgets for various projects and operational costs.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and all regulatory standards.
• Assist with audit preparation and coordination, working closely with external auditors.
• Develop and implement improved accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth running of the accounting department.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and financial forecasting a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with ERP systems a plus).
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Experience with audit preparation a plus.
  
  

Location & Compensation:

• Location: On-site position near Bolivar, Ohio.
• Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.
