This role is critical in managing the financial health of large-scale electrical projects by ensuring accurate reporting, cost tracking, and compliance with client and subcontractor requirements.

This role is critical in managing the financial health of large-scale electrical projects by ensuring accurate reporting, cost tracking, and compliance with client and subcontractor requirements.

As a trusted staffing partner, we are assisting in identifying an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a project-based environment and can partner with operations to drive efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting, including budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Process subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, and retention payments.
• Collaborate with project managers to support billing processes, client invoicing, and reporting.
• Reconcile job cost data and ensure accurate expense coding.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, project status updates, and cash flow projections.
• Assist with collections, recording cash receipts, and monitoring accounts receivable.
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals and journal entries.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and external reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with audit documentation as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in construction, electrical contracting, or subcontractor environment.
• Knowledge of job cost accounting and construction billing practices (AIA forms a plus).
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (Sage 300, Vista, or similar preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  
  

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. A comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
