Turner Industries Group is hiring a Project Accountant Associate to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The overall purpose of the Project Accountant position is to assist Project Management, Field Personnel and Accounting Management to ensure invoicing on each project is handled in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Accountants in preparing and submitting to clients detailed and accurate invoices of reimbursable costs associated with maintenance and construction projects.
• Effectively communicate and work closely with other departments, field personnel, and client representatives to compile invoicing information and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with other Project Accountants and provide assistance when a coworker’s workload necessitates it.
• Contribute to special projects such as client audits and system conversions as deemed necessary by Project Accounting Management.
• Help prepare detailed and accurate month-end accruals (when necessary) and research, report, and explain billing transactions to Accounting Management.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Business
• Self-motivated with problem-solving, mentoring, communication, and time management skills
• Extensive technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, ReportsNow, etc.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace

Compensation & Benefits

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement
