Senior Accountant
What we are looking for
Optime Care is seeking a Senior Accountant who will join the Accounting team. In this key role, reporting to the Controller, they will maintain the general ledger, perform month-end closing entries, monthly customer billing, and daily cash reconciliation for the business unit. The Senior Accountant will also provide reporting to customers and support for audit requests and projects.

What the position will be doing

• Creating monthly journal entries for month-end close.
• Preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliation and addressing issues.
• Creating monthly customer invoices via collecting reports and data needed to prepare spreadsheets and create invoices.
• Providing invoices to customers, becoming the go-to contact for their questions and needs.
• Partnering with various departments internally for billing.
• Posting daily cash transactions to the general ledger and subsidiary AR ledger.
• Processing accounts payable invoices and weekly AP disbursement.
• Support the Accounting team with other tasks as needed.
• Displaying a professional attitude, keeping confidentiality, respecting others, and maintaining integrity.
• Other duties as assigned, being adaptable and flexible in times of change and needs of the business.
  

Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.

• Experience with Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and VLOOKUPS.
• Great analytical and time management skills, self-motivated, willing to learn, and the ability to maintain confidential information.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities, flexible and adaptive to changing processes and procedures.
• Exceptional oral and written skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to work closely with vendors, partners, clients, and senior management.
• Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, think proactively, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of one's responsibilities.
• Experience working independently as well as on a team with limited supervision.
• A creative problem solver with an innovative mindset to create mutually beneficial solutions.
• Relentless attention to detail.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and facilitating meetings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
