Spectraforce Technologies is hiring: Cost Accountant in Rochester

Title: Cost Accountant

Duration: 4 Months, Potential to extend - Monday through Friday schedule, 8 AM to 5 PM

Location: Lynchburg, VA or Rochester, NY

What's a typical day as a Cost Accountant? You'll be:

* Gathering and analyzing data for budgeting and forecasting processes, while reporting to the Sr. Financial Analyst and Finance Director.

* Assisting in the preparation of standard costing labor and overhead rates.

* Perform month end close duties and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations

* Track production volumes vs planned and forecast

* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

High School Diploma required.

Hold a BS in Accounting or Finance (preferred).

Have 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting and/or Certified Public Accountant (preferably in a manufacturing environment.)

Are advanced in MS Excel and have experience with SAP (preferred).
