Corporate Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Corporate Accountant for our Houston area client. The ideal candidate will be a high performing individual with corporate accounting background. Primary responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant role:

  • Preparation of journal entries associated with daily transactions / accruals, account recons and analysis
  • Perform month-end, quarterly and annual close functions
  • Assist with entering accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Analyze financial information to prepare entries, reconcile accounts and provide management reports
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Seek out opportunities to improve accounting processes, where necessary
  • Interpretation of accounting guidance related to complex transactions
  • Liaison to internal and external auditors
  • Other ad-hoc requests, as requested by management

Primary qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting
  • 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • ERP system experience
