Job Description

Teledyne Relays, a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC, manufactures electromechanical relays, solid-state relays, power controllers, RF coax switches, and RF matrix switching systems. Major operations are in Southern California, U.S. and Mexico. We are committed to innovation, trust, and personal responsibility.

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team! $10k signing bonus!

The Cost Accountant will maintain standard costs, analyze ongoing costs, and support accounting functions related to costing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain standard cost accounting system.
• Perform month-end closing processes.
• Reconcile inventories and cost of sales accounts.
• Prepare cost reserve and E&O reserve analyses and journal entries.
• Conduct variance analysis including purchase price and work order variances.
• Prepare quarterly variance explanations for income statement and balance sheet.
• Lead year-end physical inventory.
• Generate management reports regularly.
• Assist with SOX testing and audits.
• Ensure financial data accuracy per GAAP and internal policies.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 4 years of related experience in job cost analysis.
• Experience with month-end transactions and subledger reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Understanding of financial statements.
• Experience with Info XA ERP and BNA Fixed Assets is a plus.
• Good communication skills.
• Working on holidays may be required.

Salary: Up to $140,000
