Key Skills and Experience

• Two+ years of experience in accounting.
• Experience with Great Plains and/or Workday
• Ability to work onsite in Winston-Salem, NC 3 days/week
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP

Job Description:

This candidate will perform general accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will support the financial functions of the Finance Department with a particular emphasis on preparing and organizing financial transactions in the creation of company financial statements and compiling and reviewing those transactions for management financial reporting and documentation for external and internal auditors.

• Accounts receivable.
• Accounts payable.
• Month-end close.
• Creating and providing supporting documentation for external and internal auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Two+ years of experience in accounting.
• Demonstrated experience with basic accounting principles including accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable and prepaid expenses.
• Proficient skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel skills using pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas and charts.
• Problem solver with an analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to details.
• Experience maintaining accounting ledgers and preparing journal entries.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills (i.e., the ability to bring actionable insights through effective communication).
