Executive Recruiter, Accounting and Finance

A New York-based private investment firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their growing team! This is a hybrid role located in the Financial District, with an annual salary of $100,000-$120,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or fund accounting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred

Responsibilities:

• Oversee fund-level financial reporting, including internal management reports, investor financial statements, and required third-party submissions
• Partner with external fund accounting and tax providers to ensure accurate accounting for the fund, its series, and the management company
• Review and coordinate capital calls, distributions, and uncalled commitments, including related allocations and investor communications
• Prepare fund cash flow and liquidity analyses to support capital planning and manage treasury activities for cash movements
• Review management fee computations, including applicable offsets, waivers, and rebates
• Review carried interest calculations and maintain the related waterfall models
• Review partner allocations and capital account statements for accuracy
• Manage the onboarding of new investors, ensuring CRM records and investor portals are accurately updated
• Lead, contribute to, and/or oversee investor communications, including quarterly letters and ad hoc information requests
• Oversee the firm’s regulatory reporting obligations
• Direct the preparation of quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP for investment companies
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables and adherence to reporting deadlines
• Review fund partnership agreements during initial fund formation and throughout ongoing operations, including governing documents, side letters, and related agreements
• Assist with special projects and various internal ad hoc requests
