We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in working in high volume manual reconciliations, researching accounts for discrepancies and resolving issues, and data analysis in large sets of data to extract ad hoc reports.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in working in high volume manual reconciliations, researching accounts for discrepancies and resolving issues, and data analysis in large sets of data to extract ad hoc reports.

Responsibilities

• High volume account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Heavy Excel work (VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables – daily basis)
• Data Manipulation & Data Mining
• Preparing, processing, and recording the daily on-line deposits to ensure proper designation of funds
• Ensure that all gifts are receipted and reported timely in donor and accounting applications
• Ensure timely completion of reporting to third party entities
• Reconcile pledge receivables and prepare the Pledge Roll forward schedule monthly
• Assist in helping with special projects as requested by management
• Assist with annual audits
• Research, develop and maintain accounting policies in accordance with GAAP
  
  

Qualifications To Apply

• Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures.
• Experience with journal entries, financial statement preparation, and GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills for financial statement analysis and variance identification.
• Experience with ERP systems for managing general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 5 – 7 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus).
• Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus.
  
  

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $43.26/hr.
