WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

YOU BRING...

A high standard for accuracy and proven experience in managing project finances. You are a resourceful self-starter who can learn quickly, has excellent communication skills and are comfortable working on your own as well as part of a cross-functional team.

YOU WILL:

Be accountable for monitoring the progress of projects (revenue and costs), submit loan draw requests, prepare budget variance reports, and maintain trial balances. You will manage the financial reporting for 3-5 projects.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Prepare and submit monthly construction loan draws to banks and equity investors.
• Communicate with banks and lenders regarding status of loans and fundings.
• Maintain project-related job cost and general ledger records.
• Review and approve all job-related invoices.
• Prepare and record journal entries for escrow closings.
• Produce monthly project variance reports and project proformas.
• Track debt balances, interest accrued, and remaining funding available for projects.
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly project-related reports including financial statements to project investors and lenders.
• Compile information for external auditors as required.

Desired Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting with detailed knowledge of and experience with construction accounting.
• Sage Construction 300 software a plus.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
