Experienced HR Leader | Full-Scope HR Professional | Driving Organizational Excellence Through People, Policy, & Purpose

The Senior Accountant will be a key resource for the Accounting & Finance Team. This role will support the month-end close process, including overseeing all journal entries and preparation of account reconciliations. This role will support project accounting, payroll process, sales/use tax filings, and month-end reporting and analysis. This position will report to the Manager, Accounting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete timely month end close activities including the preparation of journal entries, general ledger account analysis, and reconciliations
• Execute the bi-weekly payroll process while partnering with the HR department
• Manage the sales/use tax process – including filings and payments across multiple jurisdictions
• Maintain the fixed assets register and depreciation schedules
• Perform calculations for complex contracts and the related monthly accruals
• Support Accounting Manager with project accounting and monthly revenue and cost processes
• Participate in monthly metrics and budget-to-actual workbook creation and review
• Maintain weekly and monthly reporting for project revenue and new project activity
• Backup project setup and closure processes
• Oversee and support expense reports and reimbursement process
• Support the annual CPA review of company financials and the related annual tax return
• Perform ad hoc reporting, analysis and other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or closely related
• 2 - 5 years progressively responsible accounting experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks accurately
• Analytical mindset with ability to research and identify solutions
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and Share Point skills with advanced Excel capabilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and taking initiative to learn and improve processes
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new complex tasks
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• ERP Software experience such as Epicor, SAP, or similar
• Experience in a project and/or manufacturing environment

SALARY:

• $85,000 - $95,000 per year
