Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Staff Accountant located in New Hudson, MI. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, accruals, account and bank reconciliations
• Compile franchise owner sales reports for the calculation, and invoicing, of monthly royalties
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Partner with operations to ensure financial reporting accuracy
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and GAAP compliance
• Experience in accounting, G/L and Financial Statement preparation
• Ability to prepare financial statements and support audits
• Analytical skills to identify trends and variances in financial data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on-site in New Hudson, MI

• Travel: May average up to 10% of your time throughout the year.
