Position Summary:

The Security Guard is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of Dignity Health Arena, Theater, and Convention Center patrons, employees, and assets. This role requires representing the Security Department professionally, maintaining good relations with other departments, participating in meetings, and upholding confidentiality.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises on foot or via golf cart to ensure security.
• Respond promptly to alarms, check signal areas, report, reset alarms, and enact fire safety procedures when necessary.
• Handle all safety and security calls professionally and timely.
• Interact courteously with patrons, vendors, and employees.
• Document all activities, incidents, and repairs accurately in logs.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Understanding of relevant laws and ordinances.
• Current California Guard Card or Proprietary Security Officer (PSO) Card, or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
• Availability to work weekends as needed.
