Employer: Management & Training Corporation (MTC)

Wage: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Full Time, 8-hour shifts; days vary with occasional overtime

Location: San Diego, CA (San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA)

What you will be doing

• Patrol center grounds and secure buildings and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical equipment, and emergency equipment; maintain log of findings and corrective action
• Manage front desk for guest sign-in and distribution of temporary badges; monitor staff and student ID badges
• Ensure safety of staff, students, and visitors; control, surveillance, identification, monitoring, investigation, and reporting of center matters
• Perform parking and traffic control duties
• Assist supervisors and manager with student check-in and check-out according to policies and procedures
• Assist in transporting ill or injured students as required
• Respond to fire alarms, report fires, assist in fire suppression, and maintain fire alarm equipment
• Promote and adhere to safety practices throughout the facility

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year security experience
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50-70 lbs
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
