Duties

• You will assist in the maintenance and enforcement of regulatory guidance and policy governing all facets of security, including information, personnel, physical, and industrial security.
• You will work as a member of the command security management team, serving at a fixed post, operating systems, and following procedures to safeguard information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
• You will verify, prepare, and issue credentials to visiting personnel using sophisticated access control systems.
• You will investigate, document, and analyze situations and conditions indicating security weaknesses.
• You will set, monitor, and secure alarms as required.
• You will maintain written logbooks and provide reports when necessary.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• Within the Department of Defense, the appointment of retired military members within 180 days of retirement to a civilian position is subject to 5 U.S. Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must register for Selective Service.
• This is a bargaining unit position.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to duty. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of the job offer or removal.
• You must be first aid and CPR qualified within 3 months of employment and undergo requalification as required.
