Schedule: Santa Ana - Saturday + Sunday, 11:30am - 5:30pm Lake Forest - Monday + Tuesday, 11:30am - 7:30pm (Possible opportunities for extra on-call hours during week + OT)

Job Overview

Star Pro Security Patrol, Inc. is seeking a competent and reliable Armed Security Officer to safeguard our clients cemetery premises.

The ideal candidate will be a highly trained individual capable of handling firearms responsibly and exercising sound judgment in potentially dangerous situations.

The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through vigilant surveillance, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to any threats or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas on foot to ensure the security of the premises.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms to detect and respond to suspicious activity or breaches.
• Implement and enforce security procedures, including access control measures, visitor screening, and identification checks.
• Act as a visible deterrent to potential criminal activity by maintaining a professional and authoritative presence.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances.
• Safely and responsibly carry and handle firearms in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Document all security-related incidents, activities, and observations in detailed reports.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as necessary.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and clients.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Guard Card and Exposed Firearms permit.
• GEAR: Duty Belt, Level 3a Vest, Level 3 Holster, Firearm, Handcuffs, 2/3 non-lethals (oc spray, taser, baton)
• Valid and current drivers license
• Demonstrated proficiency in the safe handling and use of firearms
• Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, walking, and physical exertion
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications or training in first aid, CPR, or emergency response
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures governing armed security operations
• OC spray certification, Baton certification, Taser certification
