Job Description:

• Maintain high visibility as a deterrent to crime
• Answer questions and handle minor issues
• Monitor entry and exit of personnel
• Report situations immediately to appropriate personnel or emergency services
• Call 911 in case of emergencies
• Inspect facilities for security breaches
• Note after-hours staff presence
• Report accidents, injuries, electrical outages, and damages
• Protect property and deter theft through physical presence
• Report unusual conditions and maintain security logs

Qualifications:

• Be alert, exercise good judgment, and follow instructions
• Ability to read, write, speak English
• Understand and execute oral and written directions
• Monitor security systems

Requirements:

Basic:

• Physical exam within 6 months prior
• Pre-employment drug screen within 6 months
• Security and emergency procedures training
• Training on state policies on drugs, harassment, violence, discrimination, and equipment use
• Training on electronic systems

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.

Licensing & Certifications:

• Valid Driver's License or ID
• Driver's license required if driving
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Guard Registration card

Physical & Mental Requirements:

• Capable of physical security work under various conditions
• Good health, vision, and hearing standards
