Responsibilities

  • Management of visitors at access control points with a combination of utmost courtesy, decisiveness, and professionalism.
  • Ensure consistent and professional appearance and demeanor of all on-duty personnel, especially in high-traffic zones such as academic buildings, residence halls, and performance spaces.
  • Maintain strict adherence to college security protocols. Collaborate with local and state authorities, including Boston Police, Massachusetts State Police, and DHS partners, when necessary.
  • Monitor and regulate access to college facilities with professionalism, decisiveness, and courtesy. Uphold Windwalker’s values in every public-facing interaction.
  • High touchpoints between and among contract employees, client management, and company managers.
  • Preparedness planning for effective response to potential crises.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Act as an accessible, helpful resource during daily campus operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to react quickly to a changing environment
  • Advanced ability to respond to security breaches and threats
  • Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to inform personnel and visitors of security procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
  • Possess an ability to be flexible and perform a variety of security duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, AED, NARCAN, MOAB, or ACT I, II, or III Certifications highly preferred
  • Associates degree or greater in Criminal Justice related studies
  • Experience in documenting, observations, customer service and security procedures
