What You’ll Do

As an Armed Security Guard, your primary focus will be to provide a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. Your key responsibilities include:

• Patrol and Protect: Conduct routine patrols to deter security threats and ensure a visible presence.
• Respond to Emergencies: Handle incidents calmly and professionally, working with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Access Control: Verify credentials and manage entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor Surveillance: Operate security systems and identify potential breaches.
• Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report incidents in a timely manner.
• Customer Service: Engage with clients and the public respectfully and professionally.
• Firearm Safety: Handle firearms responsibly, following all safety and legal guidelines.
• Diverse Environments: Be assigned to residential and/or community service centers

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Calm under pressure and adept at de-escalating tense situations
• Knowledge of security protocols, safety measures, and emergency response
• Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality

Requirements:

• Age: Must be at least 21 years old
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Training: Completion of state-approved armed security officer training
• Firearms Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in handling firearms, including passing a qualification test
• Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting
• Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

• Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor settings, including commercial buildings, residential properties, and public spaces
• Shifts: Monday- Friday
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, and occasional lifting during shifts
