Position Details

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Government Facility in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. This is an unarmed post; you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond to situations as they arise, and work collaboratively with your team.

• Mon 06:00 PM - 03:00 AM


• Tue 06:00 PM - 03:00 AM


• Wed 06:00 PM - 03:00 AM


• Thu 06:00 PM - 03:00 AM


• Sun 06:00 PM - 03:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites


• Support operations across environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education


• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams


• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service


• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.


• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.


• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.


• Maintain a visible presence to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.


• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.


• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.


• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures while on duty.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.


• A Guard Card is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
