Security Officer Part-Time
Under guidance, participates in the safe, efficient operations and maintenance of assigned areas. Ensures safety and security of employees, customers, contractors, and assets through patrols, access control, incident response, crisis management, report preparation, and assisting with unruly individuals. Monitors controls and manages public and employee interactions to optimize performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Certified with the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA)
- Maintain Federal Firearms Qualification annually
- Minimum of 3 years’ law enforcement experience
- Strong planning, organizing, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Self-sufficient and highly organized
- Complete all HR requirements including medical, criminal background, drug testing, BMV
- Active or retired law enforcement officer
- Proficient with computer applications including access control, security cameras, timekeeping, incident reporting, and email
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and security through patrols, access control, incident response, crisis coordination, report writing, and managing unruly individuals
- Serve as liaison with law enforcement
- Communicate activities and incidents with iSOC and management
- Participate in mandated training, including Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP)
- Manage visitor check-in processes accurately
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working Hours:
- Part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays; schedule communicated in advance
- Availability for at least 32 hours per pay period
