Who You Are:
You are an important aspect in maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of the children we serve. As an Assistant Teacher, you are responsible for assisting the lead teacher of the classroom with classroom management, activities, arts and crafts, curriculum, meals, skill development, play time, and more! The Assistant Teacher is a positive role model for all staff and children. Teachers reinforce positive guidance techniques and model appropriate language and behavior. Assistant Teachers have opportunities to develop and grow professionally.
Schedule: EmBe can be flexible with school schedules. We are open 6am 6pm, Monday through Friday with no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Rooms & Ages:
- Babes 4 weeks to 6 months
- Sprouts 6 months to 12 months
- Blossoms 12 months to 18 months
- Explorers 18 months to 2 years
- Creators 2 3 years
- Thinkers 3 years
- Inventors 4 years
- Scholars - Preschool

- Implementation classroom curriculums, by following the guidance of your lead teacher. Work closely with students on activities provided, while setting an example of empowerment
- Help with daily duties of cleaning and arranging the program for care Work closely with co-workers to be successful as a teacher and mentor.
- Sign in and out daily on the EmBe iPad provided /approve your time every two weeks in paystubz
- Request time off in a timely manner, giving a two week notice unless it's an emergency
- Work longer hours during holiday breaks and no school days
- Ensure consistent application of all EmBe policies and procedures.
Benefits/Perks:
- Must be 16 years of age
- Previous management/teaching experience in a SAC setting or similar experience with SAC children preferred
- Strong organizational skills/ good details to oversee 8 teachers and kids on correct buses
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be a professional, self-motivated, and self-directed individual
- Computer skills and knowledge in Word, Excel and Paystubz, desired
- Broad knowledge of community childcare programs desired
- No felony conviction on record within the past five years.
