At IE STEM, we believe that even our youngest learners thrive in an environment where curiosity is nurtured, exploration is encouraged, and learning begins with love. Our STEM-focused curriculum is rooted in play-based, developmentally appropriate practices designed to support children's growth from the very beginning.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, dependable, and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our Infant Room team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 18 months).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Teacher in daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and soothing infants
  • Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory activities and early STEM exploration through play
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with babies, parents, and staff
  • Assist with documentation of developmental milestones and daily communication with families
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and team to implement individualized care and learning plans
  • Uphold all licensing and health/safety guidelines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience with infants in a childcare setting strongly preferred
  • Passion for nurturing young children and supporting their early growth
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching team
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Patience, reliability, and a warm, caring personality

Compensation: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
