As a Preschool Teacher at APrimrose School of Fairfax, youll create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop childrens confidence and independence. Youll help guide these little ones through small group instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information.We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, fun, and stimulating classroom environment where children can grow and develop. This individual will implement our Balanced Learning curriculum while fostering a love for learning in young children.

• Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child.
• Help children learn about language and literacy, science, life skills, and more.
• Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide individualized attention to support children's unique learning styles.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as needed.

Qualifications

• CDA, Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and child development.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass a background check.
